It will get better, as your fill loosens a bit. I am not really sure why, but think it has something to do with the slow rate that food passes through to your stomach verses the small size of your pouch. I know after a little burp I can eat a little more, just slow down, chew chew chew, and know it will get better. Mornings seem to be worse, then it losens a bit later in the day. Linda

I know exactly what you mean. Except, I don't burp. I hiccup. I have never in my life had this many hiccups. It usually happens right after I eat. I have been told that it is my way of releasig gas and that it will get better down the road. I just know how you feel about being embarrassed. I usually hiccup at the most quiet times and it gets on my nerves. Then everyone laughs and I feel even more embarrassed. See, they aren't the usual hiccups. NOOOOOO---these have to be so loud and high pitched that you can hear them probably a mile away! It is something that I have grown to live with this past month and a half. Sometimes they hurt, too. Hang in there, it will get better (for both of us). Take care! Daphine

Trying halving the size of your bites. And doubling the time you chew. See if that helps. I find I burp or hiccup most when I eat too quickly or don't chew well enough.

Are you getting too much air when you drink or eat?
