Question:
Is hair loss at 2 weeks post-op normal?

It IS normal. I started freaking out when I started losing hair right after surgery. It ends up that it is caused by anesthesia (sp?). It should stop after a couple of weeks. Good luck! - Nicole

hi there! yep, although everyones different, id say its pretty normal, i didnt have this happen, but my cousin was already losing hair before she even left the hospital, as the previous poster said, i think it had to do with the anestetic or the bodys reaction to just having major surgery. best of luck to you. :)

This has happened to me with every surgery I have had. For me it is the anesthesia (sp?) that causes it. There are many medications that can cause this and other hair changes. Hormone differences are another cause of hair changes.
