Question:
WILL I BE ABLE TO PLAY SOFTBALL AFTER SURGEORY?
Softball is a passion. I haven't seen anything regarding playing sports after the surgeory is done, Anybody have any info on this? — [Deactivated Member] (posted on February 4, 2003)

Well, I had surgery last summer and I still can't play the piano! Of
course, I couldn't before surgery either. Seriously, you probably should
not play for four to eight weeks after surgery but after that, PLAY BALL!

I had my surgery in April/02 and I played on a softball league in June. I
can't wait to start again this year. Go for it if your Doc says ok.

Alicia, I would say yes! When is the real question, it all depends on if
you had it Lap or Open, I would say ask your dtr and expect to wait 6 wks
to 2 mos...I play Vball now, but, waited to play until I was 4 mos out b/c
of all the diving for the balls. Good Luck!

Yep me too... Played last year (about 7mos post op I think)Only drawback is
the hangin'/flappin' shar-pei skin that gets to 1st base about a minute
after I do!!!
