Question:
Does anyone else have a bad case of dry mouth?
when you wake up in the morning? Do you know what that is fron? — Karen W. (posted on January 21, 2003)

I suffer from this too... It got really bad, it was actually waking me
up... My doctor 'thinks' its because my Iron levels are severlly low.. He
increased it to 3 times a day; my Iron level went up just a bit, it has
helped a little but not much.

Hi...I am having that problem so bad my throat is so sore I can barely
swallow. My doctor said it was because I wasn't getting enough liquids.
HA! I could swim in all the liquids I drink. I get over 60 ounces a day.
I think that is more than enough. So I don't know. The other person
mentioned iron...I am iron deficient. Something else I can look into I
guess, because this isn't fun. Good Luck! :)

I drink alot of fluids...I hope in time that it will go away, I am tired of
being thirst all the time, at least I know that I can get all my fluids
in!!!

I get that, too. The first thing I have to do in the morning before I even
go to the bathroom is brush my teeth. It's annoying and it wakes me up,
too. Ugh!

hi there :) very new post op i suffered severe dry mouth and chapped lips.
id recommend getting as much fluids as you can in and it may help. i
already had chapped lips and dry mouth before leaving the hospital, it got
better around the 2nd month but i even have it now from time to time. :)
