Question:
Almost 4 weeks POST OP, when I eat just about anything I get nauseas..?
Just about anything I put in my mouth makes me feel ill after I eat. Is this normal? Will it go away? — Karen W. (posted on January 5, 2003)

It happened to me from weeks 3 through 8, and then it eased up. I did
better with highly seasoned foods believe it or not than I did with bland
foods...they still make me gag! It is supposedly normal, and now at 11
weeks it rarely happens any more. The other possiblity is it could be from
a medication, you might want to look into possible side effects of anything
you are taking.

Hi. I am in the same boat as you. I am 5 weeks post-op and everything
makes me sick. Thinking about it, smelling it even makes me sick.
Everyone says it will get better. I guess we will just have to wait and
see. Good Luck! :)

I had nausea pretty constantly for the first 10 weeks or so. Then it
started to gradually go away, and at around 12 weeks post-op I was pretty
much nausea-free (except for maybe once a week, fleetingly). For me this
was normal, and yes, it does go away. If you're really troubled by it, ask
your doc for some anti-nausea meds. Hugs, Joy
