Question:
I am on Medicaid, does BTC Drs accept Medicaid pts?

I don't think that I will have a problem getting my surgery approved as it is VERY medically necessary. Problem that I will have is finding a surgeon that will accept Medicaid pts. There are surgeons in other cities that will, but we have no way to get there. As I see it now, my only hope is if the surgeons at the BTC will take me.    — Wendy G. (posted on November 23, 2002)

Hi, unfortunately I don't believe BTC is accepting Medicaid at this point. I know because I checked into it for my surgery. I was very lucky to find not just any surgeon who accepted Medicaid but a very good one who does. I know it's a bit of a drive but well worth it if you can get there...about 2-1/4 to 2-1/2 hours from Rockford. Dr. Stephen Marshall of Peoria Surgical Group.
