Question:
Im a month 1/2 out and I m just wondering if Im eating way to much
I have lost 37lbs and thats good, but some of the times I feel guilty. for example, today I had for breakfast 1 boiled egg, and a piece of toast with a little peanut butter, lunch i ate 1 cup of chili beans with about 6-7 crakers, dinner will consist of what ever meats and veggies or a baked potatoe. I have a problem with bread I love it to much!!! I don't want to savatage myself I just feel like some days i can eat more then other days. my water intake needs much approving to. can anyone tell me what are they eating at this stage? surgery date 10/20/02. weight loss has been kinda slow, so I'm feeling kinda blue... — jennifer O. First of all, congratulations! 37 pounds since 10/20 is great! I had
surgery September 16th, and I have only lost 6 more pounds than you. I
don't think you are eating too much. It sounds like you are concentrating
on protein and that is great! Keep up the good work!

My only suggestion would be to cut back on the carbs like the baked
potatoes and the bread. Make sure you are getting at least 50-60 grams of
protein in a day and at least 48-64 oz of water/non-caloric fluids a day.

Your weight loss is great - 37 pounds in a month and a half?? That's
about a shade under a pound a day....JR

Jennifer, sounds like you have a sound diet. Your including protein at
every meal, which is your primary job in the meal department. Your lucky
that you can eat bread at your stage. There are some that will tell you
that eating bread (carbs) is self-defeating but I don't agree. As long as
you get in adequate protein, carbs (make them the good carbs, like whole
grain breads) are OK. Protein first, veggie 2nd, then if you have room,
some carb. Don't feel blue-doing good!!
