Question:
What can disqualify one from having surgery?

I am pre-op, and I have been having alot of abdominal pain..gassiness mostly, but a few times I have woke up with a dull but strong pain in my upper abdomin (which based on what I have researched, seems like a gallbladder attack)..anyway, I went to have an upper abdominal ultrasound done today, and now I am kind of nervous...does any body know of anything abdominaly that would prevent you from having surgery? The tech wouldn't tell me anything she saw, but I had a feeling something was wrong. Maybe it's just my gallbladder???    — thekatinthehat (posted on October 3, 2002)

Relax its likely your GB, a good co morbidity. Whatever else is wrong can be fixed while they are in there..
