Question:
Problems with Breathing

I'm scheduled to have surgery on Oct 4th, A good friend of mine is 1 yr post op. She started have severe chest pains and trouble breathing last night and the ER doctor told her that she appears to have airway blockage and that it may be caused from food caught in the airway or a hernia. Has anyone ever been faced with this complication? I'm having second thoughts.    — Christy C. (posted on October 2, 2002)
