How long should I be concerned about P.E.

I have read each WLS Memorial and notice that a common cause is P.E. Some just after surgery and some several months post-op. How long should this be a factor post-op?    — Vance M. (posted on September 1, 2002)

My surgeon says 30 days is the peak hazard time. It decreases a lot over time after that! You do realize folks die of bloodclots who NEVER even heard of WLS? Long airplane flights and too much inactivity is the underlying cause of PE. This is easlily solved by walk walk walk both pre op and post op! It helps you recover faster as well.
