Question:
Has anyone used Dr. Ellen Janetzke, MD (Detroit area) to perform their post
op plastic surgery? What was your experience/satisfaction with her? Thanks — Judi D. (posted on July 3, 2002)

She performed my panniculectomy and mastopexy about a month ago. She will
be doing a medial and lateral thigh and calf reduction on Monday 7/8. I
find her to be very competent, understanding and her office staff helpful.
I was over 500 pounds at my peak and am now about 260. She was willing to
do the panni and breast reduction ahead of my WLS surgeon's schedule. As a
result, the breast reduction was paid for by insurance as they requuire
removal of 500 grams (about a pound) of tissue from each breast to cover
the cost. She is skillful and has an artistic eye. Even though she has
never had to remove so much tissue from someone's legs, she has researched
the procedure and has prepped me well. I cannot speak highly enough of
her. I know of at least two other people from my WLS support group who
have gone to her. My insurance was BCBS PPO, which she accepts. Good
Luck!
