Question:
Does anyone feel like they can feel all of the liquid they have swallowed all the way
Is it a little dicomforting? — Elizabeth P. (posted on July 1, 2002)

You mean feel the liquid go through the lower part of your new tummy? Yeah,
I get that all the time. It's just something you get used to... It's good
to know it's going through, but it made me wonder if my stoma was getting
too big! It isn't/wasn't though... my doc said it is a pretty normal
occurance among most RNY-ers. :~)

Oh My Goodness...I think that is the COOLEST feeling!!! When I drink cold
water, especially when i drink it fast, I can feel it go down past my belly
button!! It kinda tickles!! It is really normal, don't worry.

hi. I completely know what you mean. how far post-op are you? I am over 4
weeks. I don't know if it went away or I got used to it, but I barely
notice it anymore, unless something is really cold. I think you'll get used
to it. but it was annoying at first! :)

YES! I thought that was strange too, but thats the way I feel as well.
Especially with water or anything thats cold. It doesn't seem as bad with
room temp liquids.
