Question:
I am 12 days post op.I started mypureed diet a few days ago. I am able to drink 30oz
of water in an hour.I also can eat 3/4 of a cup of pureed soup.I also ate 6 saltines today with no nausea or feeling of fullness.I feel like the doctor poked holes in me but didnt really do anything to my stomach-i feel the same as before. Is this normal? How will I know when my pouch is full?doctor said my pouch is 2oz.Am I doing something wrong or is this normal till I get on regular food? Any help is appreciated!!!! — roxy H. Hi Roxy - I don't really have an answer but wanted to tell you I feel the
same way. I'm 16 days out and wondering if I am ever going to feel full.
I am still in a full liquid stage of my diet that my doc put me on and it
hardly ever gets me full. After re-reading my dietician notebook, it says
it probably won't have me feeling full because it runs through the pouch
faster. I'm hoping that the puree'd foods give me a sense of satisfaction.
I've also questioned my surgery at times - wondering if he really did
anything when he punched all the holes. :) Glad to see someone else
thought it too. Let's hang in there - I mean, what else are we going to
do? :)

I am 1 month and 18 days post op and am down 66 lbs.. I can drink at least
a gallon or more of any types of liquids per day. Once you get on regular
food, your world will change. You will understand four things...full, too
big, overfull and too fast. And once you master small and full, the world
gets happier and brighter. By the fourth day post op, I could drink as
much as I wanted, and pureed foods went down very easily. The solids is
where it all comes together. Good Luck!
