Question:
Has anyone has any experience with Dr. Barry Walter or Virginia Surgery Associates?

They are located in Fairfax, VA. I am scheduled to have surgery with this group in late March and I was wondering if anyone else has used this particular group of surgeons.    — Deirdre W. (posted on March 6, 2002)

Go to "Find a doc" located at the top of this webpage. Click on "Browse the list", scroll below the map of the US, then type the letter W for Walter. Scroll down this list of doctors until you find his name (he is on there) and click on "view" which is to the far right of his name. This will bring you to a webpage with info on him and with comments by patients. You can even click on the patients name or email address and talk to them more about it. If you have any problems, let me know : )

Hi, I live in Fairfax County (Springfield)and your doc is not one of the ones I have heard mentioned before. Then again, neither was mine. I did a search on this site, under Find Docs, but mine was not there either. So I searched his background (great schools), knew he was a lap expert (which is what I was looking for) , got a good feeling when I met him-he answered all my questions, and met the first person he did the lap obesity surgery on and went for it-surgery was on Feb 8th. Ask your doc to give you the E addresses from some of his other patients that have gone thru the surgery. E-mail me if you have any other questions, neighbor!
