Question:
What is the compatibility of teaching& coaching and Open RNY surgery?
I am a PE teacher and I coach all seasons. I give me a 20 min. allotment for lunch, which turns into about 12, then I coach from 2:30 pm until 6/7/8/9, depending on the day. How do I make this all work together? It's not like I can leave my 84min. class to eat. HELP! — Elizabeth P. (posted on January 19, 2002)

In the time it takes for one class to leave and the next class to arrive...
you could have a bit of string cheese.. or a 1/2 of a tuna sandwich that
you packed.. or a 1/2 of a protein bar. I don't have a regular 'job'.. but
often, when I leave the house in the morning, I don't know for sure when
I'll be back.. when I'll be able to eat.. etc. I keep a small bag packed
in my refrigerator with 2 10-oz bottles of water or Crystal Lite.. a couple
protein bars.. a couple of pkgs. of string cheese. Maybe I'll have time to
throw together a tuna sandwich to put in it... maybe not. But I grab the
bag whenever I think I'm going to be out more than an hour. The bag is
insulated and the water helps keep a sandwich cold. Don't worry.. you CAN
make this work..! :-) Good luck..
