Question:
Has anyone ever seeked out an individual insurance policy to cover WLS?

Due to exclusions in my BC/BS of Louisiana policy I am trying to get my husbands employer to change there policy. However I am always checking into purchasing an individual policy of my own to cover this. SO far I have come across Celtic Care, which wont cover it and also Oschner Health Plan, Total Health One, which so far doesnt appear to have an exclusion from the materials they sent me. Ia m wondering if anyone else went this route to get the WLS insured and if so how ling after you were insured did you seek WLS? I do know there is a pre-existing condition clause for 12 months. However if I have not seen the doctor 6 months prior than its not considered pre existing. And I have yet to see the doctor, since they wont see me until they know that WLS is covered.
