My insurance "year" is from July 30 to July 30...so I guess that
varies. I'm not sure what benefit you get by waiting until January. Are
you considering changing insurance again? I don't really understand your
situation or your question. If you are asking if we think that a $1000
co-pay is reasonable for wls, I guess that depends on your situation. I
had no copay on mine, but I think I would have gladly paid $100 if they
asked me to, even if I had to get a bank loan for it. The total surgery
was in excess of $47000, so $1000 copay is reasonable. I would not have
been able to wait another six months for the surgery. The waiting was the
worst part of the entire ordeal and if I had to wait an additional 6 months
I would have gone stark raving bonkers.
