sometimes incisions do sink in, but you should let your doctor know. It
happens sometimes with weight loss, but if the drainage has a foul odor or
is a strange color you could be getting an infection. Best Bet, CALL YOU
DOC. That's what he's there for!!!!

My incision caved in for awhile, too. About 8 days after surgery I noticed
a few drops of blood on my shirt. I called the surgeon and he said it was
normal as long as it wasn't a huge amount or had a foul smell. He said it
was just built up fluid getting out and some "liquified fat".
The next day there was a good deal more blood but it stopped, there was no
odor and everything has been fine since.
You might want to give him a call for your own peace of mind.

The day after I had my staples taken out, the largest incision busted open
and foul smelling drainage came out (lots). The next morning, I went to see
the surgeon. He took a culture and it was a staff infection. I had to stay
on a wound vac for 4 weeks. Before the abcess busted, it felt like I had a
small football under the incision and pain when getting up and down. I am
back to work now, incision healed and have lost 50 lbs. since May 26, 2009.
