Question:
Anyone have stomach polyps and still had WLS?

During my pre-op tests yesterday I found out I have stomach polyps. My doctor won't do the RNY until I have an endoscopy which may or may not be scheduled in time for my surgery in two days - Thursday, 4/26. Once they do the surgery, they will not be able to see into my old stomach so the test has to be done prior to surgery. My PCP is trying to get it scheduled as an emergency TODAY. Has anyone had stomach polyps and still had WLS? Any problems?    — Anika R. (posted on April 24, 2001)
