How many have been approved with Aetna us healthcare ppo for DS surgery

Hi - I have Aetna and they would not approve DS surgery. I believe it is because it is still considered "new." However, they approved me for an open RNY over the phone. It was quick and VERY easy! I hope this helps. - Good Luck, Karan

Hi Sharon--many have been approved for the DS with Aetna ins... If you check the insurance section at this website, you will find many people & you will be able to write them individually. As with any insurance, it all depends on your individual policy. I have UHC and was approved over the phone for the DS, but I know others with UHC who have exclusions in their policy & were denied. It all depends on how your policy reads. If you go to the insurance section at http://www.mywls.com you can also see a list of Aetna policies that have approved the DS. Good luck to you! ---->>
