Question:
Any suggestions on why I might be feeling lightheaded 3 months postop?
I am 3 months post-op today. Down 58 lbs. The last several days I have noticed on and off throughout the day that I am getting lightheaded....just a little bit off balance. I have been eating the same things for a while now, so I don't think that it's a change in my diet, exercise and water consumption are about the same as they have been. Any suggestions?? — tlg6056 (posted on January 18, 2001)

Many things can make you lightheaded, for instance
dehydration. I get lightheaded when I have ear or sinus
problems. The best thing to do is ask your surgeon, everyone
experiences problems like yours for different reasons and
our explanation may not have anything to do with your
situation. Congratulations on your weight loss,
sounds like you are doing great!

I also went thru this at about this same point. For a few months I was
light headed whenever I stood up halfway quickly or bent over. It coincided
for me with a period of very rapid weight loss. It gradually became better
and has now 99% disappeared. I'm now 9 months post & 150# lost. I'm in
wonderful health and spirits. Hope this helps.
