Would like to hear from anyone who has gone thru the new Start program in St. Louis-the good and the bad thanks. Going for my first visit tomorrow. Earleen Cashill — Earleen C. (posted on August 10, 1999)

I will be getting my surgery date today, I have been dealing with Chris
with the New Start program and have found them to be wonderful. Dr. Yates,
the surgeon I have picked to do my surgery, is smart, compassionate and
seems to care about the well being of his surgical patients. I have also
met some of Dr. Yates past patients, they all seem very happy.

I hav been dealing with the New Start program since October 1, 2000. I had
my surgery on Feb. 13, 2001. I felt they were very slow with the
information and I had to do alot of calling to find out the truth of the
matter. I would suggest talking with Chris Klittich only! She is the
director and very well informed. Be prepared for a long wait unless you
stay on them. I was told the surgery should run 18-25,000 and just heard
that the hospital only was 40,000. Good Luck! May I suggest that while you
are in the hospital that you have someone stay with you! You will receive
better care! This program will allow someone to room with you. If you have
any further questions, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected].

I agree about Kris Clittich. She is the one you want to deal with. I'm not
saying that other's are good in their own way but she will get back with
you on matters. I personally did my own phone contact with New Start and
didn't waite on them to call me. I just wanted to keep things rolling for
myself.
