Question:
How About Nausea and Being Pregnacy?
I am two years post open RNY. I started at 335lbs and I was 164lbs and currently 170lbs 13 weeks pregnant. I was hoping nausea wouldn't be so bad. I am eating well and taking supplements. But most food tastes bad to me. Any reccomendations on eating? I don't want to eat crackers all the time. — Rachel R. (posted on January 2, 2005)

Hi Rachel - have no advice for you but glad to see things are going well
for your pregnancy. Don't forget we've got the grad meeting this Tuesday
night (7 pm on 4 Silverstein) and the regular meeting next Saturday at 10
am. Hope to see you at one or the other...JR

Hello. I got pg 5 months post op and had a healthy baby boy in June, 2003.
Unfortunately, unlike my first where I had just the normal morning
sickness, I had severe with my post op baby. I had to be put on medication
for nausea/vomiting. Not necessarily due to WLS though. I couldn't eat
quite as much protein at a time when I was pg because that would make me
sick. I also couldn't sip water while I ate like I did before and after.
I basically ate small amounts all day long to get enough in whether it
tasted good or not. The not-tasting part only lasted until about 4 months
though I think.
Good luck!
