Question:
Associated underlying diseases for approval
My insurance states that "there must be an associated underlying organic disease and treatment is required to maintain or improve the health of the member"...Does anyone know what exactly are they looking for? — classite (posted on August 6, 2004)

In my case the underlying problems were high blood pressure, sleep apnea,
high cholestrol, back pain from arthritis. Others could be diabetes, heart
problems and things that by losing weight could cure or highly improve the
condition. All of my problems are gone except for some slight back pain
from time to time.
