Question:
has anyone had more migraines after surgery
I have had migrains for 35 years. After surgery I had alot less of them until the last 7 months. I have only had 1 day in 7 months that I didn't have a migrain. — joann B. (posted on June 8, 2004)

Hi, I have had migraines for years too, and then they stopped for awhile
after surgery then they picked up again and now I am about 17 mths post op,
and get them every so often, I was told it was due to our hormones changing
so much due to the rapid weight loss, so my doc put me on immitrex to help
with them, and it works sometimes, but then others I have to go to the er
to get a shot just to get rid of them! My doc did suggest to put me on a
beta blocker to help control them, so I might try that next, because I know
th er is probably geeting tired of me going in there when I get one! But,
you are not alone!!!! Hang in there, try talking with yor doc about other
options! take care!

Hi, I'm 6 mo. post-op and the migraines are worse than ever. I see a pain
management doctor and even he hasn't been able to do much. I have daily
headaches. Check my profile. I wish you success in getting yours under
control.
