Question:
I have Crohn's and a colostomy. What is the best WLS for me?
The surgeon who performed my colostomy and treats my Crohn's Disease is the one who is encouraging me to have WLS. I was turned down 2 years ago by several surgeons because of Crohn's, but now I have started looking into WLS again. I live near Lexington, KY, and I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks! I believe Dr. Weiss at the Georgetown hospital is doing the lap band now.
You might check into it. It's the Bariatric Surgery Center.

I have very mild Chrons since 1989 and I had 2 surgeons refuse me. The onlt
surgeon they will even consider is the Band because they do not want to
operate on an already diseased bowl for fear of the chrohns appearing
somewhere else. I had the Band in Nov, 03 and I lost 33 lbs, thats all
Good luck
