Question:
Any suggestions on what I can mix with the med-fast for better taste?

My doc wants me on it for 8 weeks.....ughhhh And yes all the bowel preps and everything. And though I agree with some of the comments on a prior question, I can only say that this doc has NEVER lost a patient in 20 years. But any suggestions will be appreciated!!    — Anne R. i only like chocolate protein shakes. i never drink them just as they are or i would gag hahahhaa i always put them in the blender with ice. smuckers sugar free peanut butter is really good. i also really really love putting in some instant sugar free international flavored coffee. both you can find at any store.

I have never heard of med-fast, so I'm not sure of any ideas to give. Is it a powder.. liquid... and how much do you take per dose?

I think MedFast is pretty much the same as Optifast. I did Optifast years ago, in yet another attempt to lose weight. (LOL!) At any rate, if you can find a variety of extracts, you can add a small amount and a little sweetner if needed. Some people liked to freeze the stuff, but I preferred just to drink it down. I remember finding lots of flavors at Murray's Old Time Store (don't know if they even exist anymore.) Check the local grocery - you can probably find orange, almond, chocolate and some other flavors. (Murray's had things like butter pecan, cinnamon, coconut, pineapple, etc.) Good luck! (Optifast was one of the hardest things I ever did. Get thru the 8 weeks of medfast and your post op course should be a breeze!)

Atkins has some sugar free syrups. Sometimes you can get them in your grocery stores. I can get them at the large local chain food stores in my area, suburban Chicago.

I did HMR fast for 8 months religiously, not ONE bite of food the whole time. I learned to be so creative, adding a tablespoon of SF instant puddings helps. Also, I learned that if I mix it thick, drop little teaspoon size mounds onto a paper plate and zap it in the microwave...woohooo instant "cookies" ...lol hey..it worked lost 150 pounds..kept it off....for about 30 minutes..me and Oprah..*sigh*
