Question:
How much splenda do you add...
to regular Kool-Aid packets to make it taste like the real thing? I love the sugar-free Kool-Aid that comes already sweetened, but there are too few flavors. Anybody have an idea for the Kool-Aid recipe using Splenda? Thanks ~Kristy (lap rny 9/18/03 - 320/276/168) — kristynush (posted on November 18, 2003)

For large Splenda needs, I use the bulk packages and usually measure it as
I would sugar. One cup for Kool Aid at my house. (The bulk bag of Splenda
is less expensive that the individual packets.)

I also enjoy Koolaid alot. I was using the sugar free which is fine but
have since been using the regular and sweetening it with Splenda. I buy
the big bag at Walmart. It is about $6.00 for a bag the equivelent of 5
pounds of sugar. It measures cup for cup just like sugar although I find I
am fine with about a 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup of splenda. Hope this helps...

It's a matter of personal preference, I think most sweetener packets are
generally 24 packets equal 1 cup of sugar. I make kool-aid often, but I
find that 16 packets make it sweet enough for me. I'd suggest starting at
16- to 20 packets and adjust it up or down from there.
