Question:
Any low carb high protein bars out there that don't give you gas and diarrhea?

I just realized that the NitroTech bars I have been using has had the formula changed or something and are giving me terrible gas and diarrhea! Would like to find one that tastes good, but doesn't kill me in the digestion process. Thanks for the help!    — Loretta E. (posted on April 21, 2003)

I have two favorite protein bars. The walmart EAS carb control is pretty good. Around 25 grams protein, several flavors (I like the blueberry and the lemon cheesecake, the chocolate peanut butter is ok too). I also eat Roseglen protein bars. Only 15 grams of protien, but they are pretty good. The only place I know to get Roseglen products is at the wls clinic. No gas/diarrhea issues with me on these bars.

Try the new? Detour bars they taste great think like a candy bar but low carb/sugar high protine. You can get them at GNC for $3 to $4 but they are huge. Person who told me about them says she cuts them up and eats little bites of it all day. I am still pre op but I tried a piece at a recent support group meeting. The one tastes like a Snickers bar.
