Question:
I have been out of surgery over 2 years.
I have lost 160 lbs. I still need to lose another 40 - 50 to reach goal. I need to hear from others that have been out long term and started to lose weight again, and how did you do it. I do exercise, walk 2 miles a day and drink protein shakes still and drink water. Any other help would be appreciated Thank You — Rebecca F. (posted on December 11, 2002)

Rebecca, I have not been out of surgery for 2 years, so cannot answer your
question directly, just tell you what I have heard from others in my
support group who are 2 years or more out. They say that they go back to
the basics-mostly all protein, small amounts, lots of water and exercise,
no snacking, no sugars and it comes off again. You can also go to yahoo
groups-graduate/OSSG and that is a group of post-ops that are over a year
out and ask there. Bet they have lots of experience with your question.

And here's the link to get there.
Grads is for people one or more years out to POST. Anyone can lurk and I
highly recommend it.
