Question:
Could Crystal Light slow down weight loss?
I have only been drinking Crystal Light and have been very slow in losing. I drank Propel water the last 2 days and looks like I lost 3 pounds. Is this possible? I thought Crystal Light was supposed to be like water. — Sugarbaker2001 (posted on December 6, 2002)

It seemed like when I was drinking Crystal Light that I wasn't losing as
fast as I am now. Now, I only drink water, unsweetened tea and black
coffee.
I thought it might be really high in sodium, but it wasn't. So who knows?

I have been drinking crystal lite since nearly the beginning and my weight
loss has been pretty good. Check my stats and judge for yourself.

Hi there, Paula! I drink 3 glasses of Crystal Light a day, in addition to
my 3 glasses of water and 2 glasses of milk with my protein powder, and I
haven't had any problems as of yet. My dietician said it was fine to drink
it, the only drink she said to be careful with is juices, so I have juice
about 2x's a weeks as a treat. Surgery 9/23/02 -74lbs. Vi

If Crystal Light has alot of sodium, you may be retaining extra water,
causing the slower weight loss. Good Luck!

Hi, I am a year and a couple of months out, and as a person who can
literally throw up at the smell of water, I can honestly say that Crystal
light has not hurt me in the least. I am at goal, and actually trying to
keep from losing more. SHOCKING!!!!!!! I started out at 267 the day I
came home I weighed in at 271 and today I weigh less than 135... My goal
was 137!!!!! And they say I have 10-15lbs of excess skin!!!! I look great
and I feel great... And I can say that without my crystal light I would
not have lost this much this fast becaise for one, you have to have fluids
and two, I HATE WATER!!!!! lol. Good luck and god bless. Tonya

If you compare labels, the Propel has a ton of sugar but it is soooo good!
Crystal Lite, I've been told by my dietician, is just like water, with a
tad of sodium. Maybe you're just hitting one of those dreaded
mini-plateaus!

Hi, Artificial sweetners can be appetite enhancers and make you hungrier.
I've heard caffeine does too. Have you tried Ice Botanicals? It is
sweetened with Splenda. Also, try making KoolAid with Splenda. That way
you have a large variety of flavors. Early on I would add the GNC liquid
protein to it to help in that area too. Fruit 2 O is good too. The flavor
is milder than either the Ice Botanicals or the KoolAid.
