Question:
I know this is gross, but I saw someone ask about yellow stool
Does yellow stool indicate something wrong with your gall bladder? I still have mine, but the last week I have had yellow stool and although it's not runny, it's pretty soft. Hrm, maybe I should be posting this under ANONYMOUS. lol — Paula Prichard (posted on September 2, 2002)

I had yellow stools for 5 or so months, nothing wrong with my GB. I was
told that it was from the food passing through the intestines so fast. It
has actually stopped now (so has my weight loss, below goal) Hope this
helps!

Well I tried several times to post questions on "yellow stool"
and they never would post them for me. Yet someone else was kind enough to
post it for me and they'd do it for them. ;) Anywho, my doctor (not
surgeon) told me I had yellow stool. I never could find out why from anyone
here. I'm assuming it is "fat" in the stools passing out and that
the WLS is working. Don't know if I'm right. By the way my gallbladder came
out on March 1st. And I don't know if my stools were yellow before that or
not.

The light colored and yellow stools are what made my doc think I was having
gallbladder troubles a few years back. It wasn't, at least not that the
diagnostics found. I still have it at times and think its from things
passing through way too quickly, like an irritable bowel type thing. One
thing more I learned is that if you have extreme diarhea that is yellow it
can indicate an infection and will need to me treated my your doc.

I had yellow stools too - for about 8 weeks. Then I had a nasty flu that
was going around and I got put on antibiotics. Since then, Ive had
non-yellow stools... except when im under ALOT of stress. I had my GB
removed years ago.
