Question:
Have you had to go throw up the first 3 to 4 bites of food while eating out?
Here's my problem: Sometimes (at home or eating out), I have to throw up the first 3-4 bites of my meal and then I can eat the rest of it with no problem. It's like the opening to my stomach closes so tightly and has to be pried open. Anyone else had this problem? I honestly don't think it's psychological, though it is getting to be because I have begun to anticipate this happening and am getting a little anxious. I'd like to hear from anyone else who has had this happen. Thanks! — Loretta E. (posted on July 29, 2002)

I find this happens to myself also, I was always a FAST eater, and it is
sometimes hard to change that, so If I am really hungry or in a hurry, or
with others that eat fast, I end up getting sick, which is a big reminder
that I am eating so fast. So I try again at a slower pace and it usually
works. but this may just be me.

I have to agree with the last poster, this happens to me when I eat too
fast...especially if I am too hungry! Try to keep up with your water and
try not to skip meals and you should notice that you may not eat as fast
and this may not happen. Everytime I eat I ave to give myself the
"don't eat too fast" pep talk! LOL

Are you cutting your food into pencil eraser sized bits? Your still early
on and that helps a lot..
