Question:
Labetalol 200 mg and Zestril 20 mg - (BP) how do I get rid of it?
I have probably 300 Normodyne/Labetalol 200mg tablets and 90 Zestril 20 mg tablets. I don't need them now, but I hate to just flush them. It is like $500 worth of medicine. Is there anywhere we can donate these??? — Karen F. (posted on July 5, 2002)

Dear Karen,
Unfortunitaly no one will be able to use the meds as it would be illigel. A
doctor would not risk his license in giving them to someone else. I know
that they are expensive but just flush them. That is the best way to
handle this.

there ARE medication donation programs; they started with AIDS patients and
have spread to needy seniors. Some are underground, but if you contact a
senior relief center or a local AIDS program, you will surely find someone
to accept them. Thank you for thinking of it.
