Question:
how do you tone your inner thighs to burn off the chubby baby look?
i have lost 73.5 pounds in 2 months- we'll nearly 3. i had the surgery 4-11-02. i weighed about 370. today i weigh 293.5. all my clothes are loose and i am ready to get serious. i do not want to be flabby. i see my skin loosing up and my fat inner thighs are a big had full. laying down my thighs pool to my pelvic area when my knees are up and i want to know what to do to tighten them up. standing they are nice but the inner parts bulge out and i got 1 crease that highlights them and you can see them good. i hate it. is there help for me? i will do what ever it takes. your comments won't be wasted. thnks. — Janvielle F. Hi....You dont say how old you are hon...and unfortunately that makes a
difference in terms of being able to firm up things. I am 41 and 4 months
post op start 368 now 274 and standing my inner thighs were starting to
look like wrinkly prunes. I have picked up my exercise a bit 2 miles at
least 4 x a week and that walk included some stair climbing which I think
helps tone thighs. I also do lots of kicking exercises in the pool.

SQUATS, SQUATS and more squats. Get a barbell with some weights on it or
weights resting on your shoulders. Point your toes slightly out, shoulder's
width, to work your inner thighs and squat up and down with your weight
pressing into your heals (Not the balls of your feet) push up with you
inner thigh and butt muscles keeping your abs tucked in and back as
straight as possible. Go down as far as you can and back up again. Do as
many as you can. You can also keep your feet straight and that will help
your butt and thighs too. Just remember to keep the abs in, weight in your
heals and concentrate on the mucles you want to work. Hope this helps you
out.

Well. I have lost 169 pounds and am at goal. MY thighs are really bad, too.
My surgeon said it will take 2-3 years for me to "grow into my
skin" again and for me to give it time. I won't consider a thigh lift,
not at my age. I'm almost 52 years old and I walk 4-6 miles almost every
day. There are some lotions, like Nivea has one that I use daily. Good luck
:-)

Hi, I am 11 months out, have lost over 160 lbs, and need to lose another 35
to 40. I, up until 7 weeks ago, really didn't exercise consistently, just
here and there, because I HATE exercise. Well 7 weeks ago, I joined a
Curves, and I am amazed at the results. I go 4 to 5 times a week, 30
minutes a day , and have lost 9 inches, most of which was in my thighs.
My husband even noticed that my skin, in that short amount of time has
really changed, looking much more normal. I still have a lot of work, and
ultimately will need a TT, but toning exercises really help for all the
other areas. Now I'm not saying to go out and join a Curves, but trying
some toning exercises will help. I really wish that I hadn't waited so
long out to get my butt in gear. I'm sure if I had started at your time
out, I wouldn't have nearly the hanging skin I do now. Good luck to you!
