Question:
Does anyone know if AFLAC sells individual policies...
Or are they only available thru companies? Thanks so much... — Sandra T. (posted on June 12, 2002)

Yes Aflac sells coverage to individuals. I believe its slightly higher
than through a company but not by much. We supplied aflac coverage to our
employees when we were in business. Recently we have contacted them
regarding individual coverage and they gave us a quote. Our salesman is
Sam Starr of Jefferson, Ohio, Ashtabula County.

AFLAC does sell individual plans, but they are pricey and depending on the
plan, they would impose pre-existing limitations. For instance, the
Hospital Confinement Indemnity plan pay a benefit when a covered person is
charged for REQUIRED hospital confinement of 14 or more hours for a covered
sickness or injury. Benefits are based on state ir residence and could
include:
Surgical
Wellness
Heart attack, stroke, coma and paralysis
I would go to AFLAC.com or check w/a broker in your area. Since they do
have pre-existing conditions, I would definately check those out before you
buy something you can't use.
