Do you need to have a medic alert braclet, if so where do you get them ?

The purpose of the medical alert bracelet is so that ALL health care
professionals are aware we have had the gastric bypass. So say you get
into an accident and they take you to the ER, they run a tube down into
your stomach blindly, guess what they have just popped your pouch most
likely. It tells them they need to use the scope. Also there are some
meds like motrin, vioxx and stuff that we aren't supposed to take post op.

It is a good idea to have a medic alert bracelet if you have WLS surgery or
any other medical problem it talks for you when you can't, the foundation
stores your medical history, your contacts in case of accident. the meds
you are on, your doctors name, allergies etc. I got my bracelet from the
medic alert foundation and they have a website that has info and shows
photos of the bracelets with prices, I got myself a pretty one instead of
them ugly ones with chains that some places have
