you dont say how far post op you are, but I am 2 days shy of 4 weeks and I
also have the same thing happen. I have been told that its because I am
taking in to much air when I am eating. I find this happens more when I
eat alone. If I am at at table with others and I am talking then the gas
bubbles dont happen to me. So I paid VERY close attention to what I was
doing. For some ODD reason when I was chewing and eating I wasnt really
breathing ( Go Figure) As others have told me on the site, this to shall
pass. Honestly I find it a blessing and hope it doesn't because by time I
get all the gas out of my stomach I don't want any more food

About your protein... I am pre-op so I'm getting my ducks in a row. A
friend of mine discovered a terrific protein supplement: Extreme Pure Pro;
20 oz bottles pre-mixed grape & tropical punch, you can drink cold
alone or better yet, mix half with half mixed crystal lite raspberry ice
and nurse it all day over ice. Each bottle has 42g of protein. Does NOT
have that nasty protein taste. Its like a fruit drink. I got GNC to order
it for me; you can also get it on the internet at Bodyden.com; Vitalady has
the same in the powder in 2.33# cans and I ordered one of those as a backup
in case I run out of the liquid. You might also try: peanut butter on a
ritz or saltine cracker; chicken salad or tuna salad...Not knowing how far
you are post op those are just some suggestions. I wish you the best!
