Question:
I seem to be having pains in certain areas concerning my bones.
I find that my bones are very delicate to the touch. I am having the most pain in my right shoulder and left hip bone area. Has anyone else had the same sensations? I am taking calcuim pills so not sure what may be wrong. — Janet V. (posted on March 18, 2002)

Hi, seems you've lost alot of weight. Couldn't it be that your bones are
just starting to rub the wrong way? I know that when I first lost all this
weight, I couldn't lay on my side cause my shoulders would hurt (no fat to
pillow me) and I couldn't lay on my back cause my butt would hurt (again,
no fat at all). Eventually, your body adjusts and I just don't notice
those pains anymore. I think that the muscle and skin grew over those
bones alittle bit maybe. I honestly believe that this is a good thing for
you. Says you are getting thin. Good luck.

Are the calcium citrate or carbonate? Brand names that are NOT calcium
citrate include: Tums, Viactiv (& other chews), Caltrate 600, to name a
few. Citracal IS calcium citrate and formulated with the correct ratios.
If you CAN, you might want to have a dexascan done. Although you are
young, there are a dozen risk factors that could cause bone loss along with
your wt loss. Along with what everyone else said, you can pursue these and
see if that helps.
