I had mystery bruises for a long time. Then someone said Vitamin C. I take
one tablet daily 1000mg. No more bruises.

I too had bruises all over...I called my surgeon and she said I was lacking
Vitamin K....and for me to eat leafy green foods like, lettuce and spinach.
After eating green leafy foods the bruising stopped. Try a salad or two
a week and see if that helps.

This is how the excess bruising was explained to me. When we are fat, our
bodies develop small capillaries to supply the extra fat/skin layer. Once
the fat is gone, however the capillaries are still there for a while and
are close to the surface. They are fragile and will cause bruising if
bumped. Eventually these resorb and are no longer a problem. Shelley

My daughter and I also experienced "mysterious" painless bruises,
particularly on our legs and arms, starting a few months after our RNY
surgeries. Our surgeon told us to take an extra Vitamin C tablet daily
(500 mg), and the bruising stopped. I don't remember the explanation
behind it, but it worked for us. Good luck!
