Question:
I need anyone who has had medicare pay for their surgery to help me.

I am Two weeks away from my Surgery date already to go and someone at Medicare told Hospital that they have never paid for WLS. I know this to be untrue. My Doctors office has ask me to see if i can get verifacation from those that have used Medicare,. I also have a suppliment insurance to cover the differace. I e-mailed you privately, but thought that I would post here as well. The obesity help web site has a wonderful insurance page. Go to the top of any page and click on "insurers". Follow the links and you can find what insurance companies have paid for members' surgeries in EVERY state. This should be helpful, as Medicare is a national program. I checked the page for your state AZ and found several members that have been approved by medicare. Here is that specific page http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/insurers2.phtml?State=AZ The neat thing is that included with each listing is the member's e-mail address.
