Question:
I am looking for a mini food processor
I went shopping last night to see where I can get a mini food processor so that if I need to I will have something to puree my food with. I had no luck in finding what I was looking for.All the store had was large processors. Can anyone recommend a relatively inexpensive mini processor. I would like the name brand that you found to work the best. Thanks everyone<3 — garyzgurl (posted on December 9, 2001)

I bought a mini food processor/blender at www.ltdcommodities.com. They are
geared towards businesses but if you have a work address you can have it
sent there and pay the bill with a personal check. They give discounts for
quantities bought.

I found a great little food processor at Walmart. Its a Black and Decker
"Handy Chopper Plus", holds 1 1/2 cups. MORE than enough room for
the small amounts youll be eating! : ) It works great! Easy to clean, also.
I think it was only like $10, or so. Give it a try. If you dont like it you
can always take it back. Good luck! God Bless!

I can answer that one - I tried Wallmart,Target, and K-mart.
I remember taking the one from Wallmart back - also one other!
I ended up keeping the Magic Chef which I THINK came from Target.
They are all pretty much the same but Magic Chef was more sturdy.
You can get a mini Cuisinart at dept stores for about $40 - they look a
little better but not necerssary. Tuna, egg salad - chops onions etc in a
hurry! Call first if you can have patience waiting.

Hi, I've been using an immersion blender, which has sharp blades on its
end. Works a treat on vegetable soup, and well-cooked veggies of any kind.
Other than that, I used a baby food grinder (Happy Baby), it also works
well, particularly on the baby-size small quantities I was eating.

I bought a mini Cuisanart at a large dept store for $40 and then looked at
Walmart. They had a Magic Chef mini food processor for $15! Wish I had
looked there first. I do love my Cuisanart though and use it a lot. I
couldn't resist the $15 one at Walmart and bought it too. I gave it to my
angel as a "thank you" gift. She said it works great too. It
has the little tube for inserting stuff and my more expensive one doesn't
have that. Look at Walmart near the regular blenders/and food processors.

my honey bought me a hand held blender at walmart. its a ge & cost
somewhere around $30 i think. i wanted the hand held one because it will
fit inside a small container & puree the small amt of food i will be
eating. i felt that my food processor & my meat grinder were too big to
handle the job of grinding a 1oz portion of food.

I bought a Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus, and it works like a dream! I believe
I paid somewhere in the area of $60 for it, but Cuisinarts are just plain
awesome. :) Plus, it'll last you for a long, long time.
