Question:
Can anyone guide me on where to purchase a seafood fork?
Hi, my surgery is December 6th, 2001. I am in the process of buying things I will need post-op and one thing I'm having trouble finding is a seafood fork. I've seen baby forks, but think that those would be difficult puncturing food. Does anyone have any ideas on where to find a seafood fork...checked walmart, target etc with no luck. Or if anyone has any suggestions on any other utensils that would be just as good please let me know. Thank you in advance... — [Anonymous] (posted on November 2, 2001)

It might be an oyster fork you are talking about.
I am from Louisiana. What State are you from?

Any kitchenware store would have seafood forks. Do you have a
"Lechters" near you? I know they are going out of business, so
maybe you can get one on sale. Otherwise, there is always EBay. Good
luck!

You would need to go to a department store or specialty silverware
/china/crystal store that sells open stock silverware. Walmart, Target ets
only sell full sets, you probably dont want to buy a whole new set. I got
mine with Betty Crocker coupons but that takes at least 6-8 wweeks to get
in the mail. You might also try a restaurant supp;y store. Good hunting.
God's blessings on your surgery and recovery.

of a regular fork...you will be eating regular in no time...don't waste the
money. Good luck!

Don't buy a seafood fork. They are going to be expensive as they are
considered more of a specialty such as bread knives. You would have to go
to the china/upscale utensils area to buy one. I bought several baby
spoons thinking I would need them by week four/five I had stopped using
them.

If you have a Big Lots in your area I bought one there for about 2$.

You might try checking at one of those kitchen supply places in the mall or
if you have an outlet mall near you they should carry them. I didn't go out
and buy anything special. I used a baby spoon at first and then graduated
to an iced tea spoon. When I was ready for "solid" food I used a
salad fork for a while and now use regular silverware.

Do you need other silverware? Walmart has a full set that include 12
seafood forks. The set has all the other silverware and is 19 dollars.
