Stop putting pressure on yourself and stop comparing yourself
to others. You've lost close to 50lbs. and that's a great success.
Your hard work is paying off....just not as quickly as you would like.
Some of us lose fast and some of us lose slower...even when we are doing
everything "right". If you are a slow loser, there's not much
you can
do to change that. You just have to stay the course and lose weight at
your own pace. Do you realize that if you stay at the pace you are on
now, you will be down almost 150lbs. on your 1 year anniversary????
Nothing
shabby about that....

Yes, everyone loses at his/her own pace. You are doing great. When I went
to check your profile, it says your BMI is 22. Is that right? To have lost
46 pounds and already have a BMI of 22 is amazing. I was just checking to
see where your starting BMI was, to encourage you. CHIN UP!!

Hang in there, I bet your clothes are fitting you much looser. Remember
when you are working out you are gaining muscle so your weight loss may not
seem as much, but it's VERY healthy and you'll be lovely and toned, isn't
that a nice thought?

It's ok....I am one of those ones that is losing real slow..I'm at 9 &
1/2 months and I'm down by 100 lbs....just keep chewing away at it...who
cares how long it takes.

I'm sorry, but I just can't understand how you can be down about losing
almost 50 pounds in only four months! It took me almost 6 months to lose
that. If we could all stop comparing ourselves with others, I think we
would all realize that no matter what rate you are losing, YOU ARE STILL
LOSING. How can you say it's not working for you? I doubt that you could
have lost 50 pounds in four months on your own, or you wouldn't have needed
the surgery. Please stop comparing yourself to others. We are all
different, lose at different rates, will lose different amounts and will
follow our post-op plans differently. Well, so what? I think 50 pounds in
four months is excellent, and I'm certain if you check with your surgeon
(s)he would say that you are right on track. Relax and try to stop worrying
about how fast you lose. It just makes you upset. Concentrate on what
you've accomplished so far. Good luck.

THROW OUT THE SCALES!!!!! I'm still pre-op, but I can tell you hat I would
KILL to lose that much weight in such a short period of time. You can't
expect to wake up from surgery and be thin... patience is the key, pretend
you're doing weight watchers or something, then you'd be VERY happy with
that loss. You are doing great and I commend you... just keep it up and it
will all pay off!

If you're going to the gym four or five days a week and working out two
hours each time, you could also be gaining muscle. I'd suggest taking your
measurements (bust, waist, hips, thighs, etc.) and measure yourself every
month to see if you're losing inches.
