8 wks post and still havent had a period.

I would suggest you take a pregnancy test if you have had sex within the
last three months (yes, even if it was right before your surgery).
Regardless of whether you are using birth control, you should do the quick,
painless, inexpensive home test to be sure that pregancy is not the reason.
You probably are NOT pregnant, but if you've done the dance.. you COULD
be. Fertility typically skyrockets after WLS. Many pregancies occur
without even trying.

Don't feel bad. 5 weeks out neither my bypass buddy or I have gotten ours.
My PCP says it's to be expected. Luck :0)

I'm 5 in a half weeks postop and should of got my period the week after
surgery , I was going nuts so i took a pregnacy test , neg and along comes
mary 2 days ago so don't worry enjoy the lil break!

Still pre-op here but I must say..WOW what I would give to not have a
period..smile..:)!

PLEASE take a pregnancy test! I got pregnant 1 month after surgery! I was
told I would never be able to have kids, and WOW, I was pregnant! And now I
have 2 kids! Or it maybe a hormone thing, when you loose weight fast it
will mess with your body! Home pregnancy tests DO work! Try one!
