Question:
6 month plus post-ops, when did your inner thighs stop rubbing together?
Silly as it sounds, I will feel like I've MADE IT when my dang inner thighs stop rubbing together so I can stand to wear a dress again. I started at 303 (5'3"), and at 4 weeks, am down 33 lbs, but still rubbing. My thigh measurement has gone from 32.25" to 28". Do you remember when your thighs quit touching each other when you were just standing still, relaxed? — Julia M. (posted on October 15, 2001)

I don't have an answer for you (I am pre-op). Just wanted to tell you that
you are not alone. I made a list of goals the other day. They were
"How I will Know when I've Lost Enough Weight". Number 4 on the
list was "when my thighs stop rubbing together!" Just thought
you might like to know there are a lot of us with the same thoughts!

9 mos. post-op RNY open, minus 90 lbs. I don't exactly remember when mine
stopped rubbing together. It seemed like it was all of a sudden. My legs
are thin now, it's my stomach that keeps me from going to a smaller size.
Good luck, you are well on your way to 'thin thighs.'

Funny! That was my #1 goal. Last I remembered, I was about 180 lbs
(5'6") when they stopped rubbing. I am 3 months out and am at 195 lbs
(from 257), so 15 lbs to go and I should be at my first goal.

I don't know.....I'm down to 220 (...from 330) and my thighs still
rub together when I'm standing. Actually, my sister is size 8 and
her thighs touch!!! I think you have a looooooooong way to go. It's
funny how we all have different benchmarks. I wanted two things....I
wanted to be able to wear "cute" shoes once again and I wanted to
be
able to shop in regular stores....like Bloomingdales, Lord & Tayolor
etc.
That happened soooo fast, within a few months of my rny, that it gave me
the incentive to go the distance. Now....if I could just lose 20 more
pounds.....

I'm 16 months post-op and have gone from 316 down to 167 and I am 5'6.
When I stand in front of the window and look in the mirror, just a tiny
little ray of sunlight shines through between my legs..not much, but it's a
start...and I'm still waiting for the rubbing to stop. Guess everybody is
different....I just think I've got too much loose skin on my thighs right
now. Hello ThighMaster!!!

I can wait for this to happen to me. Recently, I was walking in the hallway
where I work and heard this swishing noise. I couldnot figure out what it
was. I was so used to my thighs with no space at all, that when I developed
some, I could finally hear my pants rubbing together.
