Question:
i would like to hear from people that had originaly vbg and then revised to another
i had vbg feb 1999, but i think at this time it is no longer working. i have actually gained 10 lbs to get me to 200 lbs. i did get pregnant 5 mons after my surg/was not planned, but i had a healthy baby and do not regret it althoug that could have been the cause that i could not reach my goal. please share stories about revising from bvg to some other type and if it has worked or not.. — christina C. Had VBG in 95, started at 375,dropped to about 230, have since blown up to
300 lbs. I was revised on 8-20-01 to Open RNY and have since lost 25 lbs. I
am told that mines will be a slower journey because this is not the
original or first surgery for me and that my body had already previously
gotten use to my smaller pouch. So far Im okay. I am supposed to be free to
eat anything now. For me though, I can only hold a few bites, not a small
meal, and I have to eat slowly. Im expecting to reduce to atleast 200
lbs, small goal, and then another 50 from there.Im a tall girl so ideal
weight for me is 150-170. I will look like a supermodel if I can get
there. My surgery didnt have any complications. Some revisions do.So far
Im satisfied and learning to eat all over again, completely different
than vbg.
