Question:
Please, could someone tell me what this means?

Hi. I just got my exact gut measurements from my surgeon & I'm just wondering whether I'm proximal or distal. I had open RNY on 5/21/01 & I know I was stupid for not having this info from the start. But here it is: Roux limb length = 150 cm. Biliopancreatic limb = 75 cm. Common channel = approx. 300 cm.    — lalasmommy (posted on August 6, 2001)

Your surgeon will know--just ask. I think this is a proximal. There are other sections of this board in the Q/A library which list the measurements for each type.--Jesse
