Hi, I read your question. All I can say is that I am 3 weeks out and if I
didn't have to eat again that would be alright with me. Everyone is
different so if your doctor is okay with then go with that. I just know
that we have to get the water and protein in. Good luck

I too felt as you do at 2 months. About the 3rd month, I started feeling
much better and then my appetite started picking up. It could have been a
combination of being better healed, exercising more and working again.
Trust me, you will feel like eating, it just may take a while. Keep getting
in your protein, water and vitamins and you will do just fine. I am now 4.5
months post op and am up to eating 2 times a day. Oh yeah, I am down 71 lbs
and 39 inches gone forever!!

It was a lot longer than 2 months that I had no appetite , I lived on soup
and cheese for at least 6months. Occasionally I ate salad but that was
about it. I made sure every day I had my protein and vitamin requirements
met through supplements. Gradually my appetite returned and I ate more of a
variety but I continue to supplement and always will, because I eat so
little. Everyone is different you need to go with what your body tells you.
I wouldn't worry about this unless you are having trouble holding food or
liquids down. Enjoy your weight loss and try not to obsess about food types
or amounts , it's hard because for so many years we ate huge quantities of
food whenever the spirit moved us!! And of course we told ourselves "
I never eat much, I don't understand why I gain so much weight!" LOL

At two months post op, I was just like you. I have just started to feel
true hunger at 6 months post and I still have days where I have no hunger.
Don't worry about it. I'd rather not feel the hunger myself!

Jamie, I am going through exactly the same thing you are. I am almost 11
weeks post op and still have to keep track of what I eat to make sure I get
enough. I am losing lots of weight, have tons of energy, and have no
desire to eat. It just seems so strange to go from one extreme to another.
I have been told in time it gets better and you start eating on a regular
basis. For the time being I have been told as long as my bloodwork comes
back normal and I feel fine to continue doing what I am doing.

I had no appetite for 5 months, consider it a blessing. It's
easier to learn new eating habits and the less you eat...the
more you lose. Just eat the right foods.. at the right times.
My appetite did eventually return and a year after my surgery my craving
for
sweets returned; I don't experience dumping unless I eat a huge
amount of sugar; so, everyday is a struggle now. I long for the
days when I had no appetite!
