Question:
Has anyone had the Lap Band surgery, or is anyone considering this procedure?

I had the lap band done on May 7th...best thing I ever did...yes it takes more work the the RNY, but recovery time, less problems. Good luck

My reasoning about LAP-BAND goes as follows: it is a far less invasive and lengthy procedure than others; it is reversible; some disappointing results in American trials may reflect the inexperience of American surgeons with this procedure; even if it is less effective, or less often effective, than other procedures, at least in some cases, it seems reasonable to try this as a least drastic intervention, reserving other procedure for failures of this treatment. Bear in mind also that it is fully reversible, unlike most other procedures.
